| Συμμετοχή σε αρχιτεκτονικό διαγωνισμό όπου καλούνται οι αρχιτέκτονες να σχεδιάσουν μια βιβλιοθήκη σε μια πόλη της Κορέας. Μίνιμαλ σχεδιασμός, έμφαση δόθηκε στο εξωτερικό περίβλημα του κτηρίου, θα τον παρομοιάζαμε με το δέρμα ενός μπλε δράκου. την ψευδαίσθηση αυτή δημιουργούν τα αρχιτεκτονικά οξειδωμένα χάλκινα στοιχεία, με τον τρόπο που είναι διαδοχικά τοποθετημένα πάνω στις όψεις του κτιρίου.
our competition for the design of the public library in Gwangju..its a simple rectangular form with a big atrium, nice blue triangular shaders, nic view and natural light on the inside, with a little imagination our building looks like a dragon skin surface, rectangular, that’s why we came up with the name “dragon box”. we had in mind a very sustainable approach, and the creation of a zen environment, for that reason we create two waterfalls in the atrium , that work with the water from the rain, important factor if we consider the fact that the building is placed in a city where practically it rains on a daily basis. |
